Track 5 of 11 on "The Last Drop Of Color"

lyrics

I owe everyone here a big apology. To anyone who’s ever shared a bed or even two words with me. Because I never give all of myself. Just the character or a version of my opinion. I’m the tattoo on your ankle. The lingering indecision. The memories of broken traditions are just blowing out the window. Can’t let it make you cautious baby, let some fresh air inside. When we crawled out, eyes blinded by the morning. We peeled right the hell outta there. The highways were paved and hungry for us. You say “How did we get here?” So you think it’s my fault. Ah well, it’s a hard boiled egg to swallow babe with no oil, no butter, no salt. Do you want mercy or morphine? This rusty old boat is tossing and turning. Springing leaks at every weld and rivet. If your destiny’s burning, hold onto mine...We’re all working. Some harder than others. In faster I’m breathing. The more it I go. Breeding and bleeding.
